Our Client a specialist technology services company is looking to hire Engineer / Senior Engineer.

Daily Responsibilities

• Provide 1^st and 2^nd level support to users in a friendly and helpful manner
• Follow procedures and instructions from your Manager
• Keep your Manager and Helpdesk aware of the status of your current and outstanding tasks, escalating when tasks take longer than expected
• Promptly update job status in ticketing and activity tracking systems
• Perform upgrade / maintenance / support jobs during non-office hours
• Conduct daily systems morning checks
• Perform basic troubleshooting on issues and escalate to seniors according to escalation procedures
• Perform regular system patches and security updates according to procedures
• Track and manage client’s IT assets
• Update inventory in our knowledge sharing system
• Log incidents and resolutions for knowledge base development
• Handle equipment deliveries and rack mount IT equipment occasionally
• Familiarity with collaboration software like Microsoft Teams or Zoom
• Remain contactable via phone during out of office hours for very occasional off hours support work

Key Skills

• Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory
• Fluency in spoken Mandarin
• Knowledge in Microsoft desktop / Office 365 / Azure platforms
• Basic knowledge in networking
• High cyber security awareness
• Being friendly, patient and helpful when assisting users
• Troubleshooting skills
• Industry certifications would be an advantage, e.g. Microsoft certificates, Cisco, Comptia A+ certificates
• 3+ years in a technology support role for Engineer
• Trade floor or financial services IT experience would be an advantage but not critical
• Diploma or above in fields of Information Technology, Software Engineering or equivalent
